Royalist Regatta, Portsmouth 11th – 12th May 2010

Looking for a challenge? why not put a team together and take part in this year's Royalist Regatta - a fabulous two day sailing competition taking place in the Solent. By taking part your team can raise money for two worthwhile causes - The Marine Society & Sea Cadets And The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

THE ROYALIST REGATTA FOR THE SHIPWRIGHTS’ TROPHY 2010

Challenge yourself by taking part in the 2010 Royalist Regatta for an exhilarating team building experience. The two day regatta, now in its 13th year, offers an excellent opportunity for team bonding in a highly competitive environment, whilst raising funds for the development of young people. Whether experienced sailors or novices the regatta is an entertaining day out for both crews and spectators.

(NB. All yachts must have at least two qualified / experienced crew members on board. We are happy to help you find qualified sailors for your crew if required.)

The regatta takes it name from TS ROYALIST, the Sea Cadets’ square rigger and hospitality boat for the event. The Racing is organised by The Royal Thames Yacht Club and this year’s regatta takes place on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 May on the Solent in Portsmouth.

Tuesday 11 May:
Regatta teams can take part in an optional practice day from midday, with informal races on Sunsail Sunfast 37s. This is followed by a champagne reception and black-tie dinner in Boathouse No.7 in Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard, attended by TRH The Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Wednesday 12 May is Race Day:
The teams are served breakfast and receive the days briefing. The racing commences...!
At the end of the day, there will be a prize giving buffet wih the trophies presented by TRH The Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Hospitality Opportunities
A spectator hospitality package is also available which includes a black tie dinner in Boathouse No.7 on Tuesday 11 May, full hospitality on board TS ROYALIST while watching the racing, and the prize-giving buffet.
